Caring for Our Communities
Local residents should have easy access to high-quality care, and we believe the ability to treat people within their own community is crucial. We’re conveniently located right off Redondo Beach Boulevard, with access to the 110 and 105.
We are here 24/7 to care for your family. As Gardena’s only hospital, we’re proud to be your hospital of choice for emergencies. Offering access to some of the top physicians in the nation, an Emergency Department with short wait times, and an established Primary Stroke Center, we are the ideal hospital to go to in an emergency.
In addition to being named a Primary Stroke Center, Memorial Hospital of Gardena is also accredited as a Geriatric Emergency Department (GEDA) by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). With a high percentage of older adults visiting our Emergency Department, often with multiple or chronic conditions, it is our duty to make sure that our teams have all of the skills, equipment, and training to take the best possible care of these individuals. The voluntary GEDA program provides specific criteria and goals for emergency clinicians and administrators to target. The accreditation process provides more than two dozen best practices for geriatric care, ensuring you will be well cared for.
Striving For More
At Memorial Hospital of Gardena, we are constantly evolving and adapting to the needs of the communities we serve. Currently, we’re upgrading our hospital’s facilities, implementing cosmetic improvements inside and out. These aesthetic updates mirror our more substantial operational updates. Not only are we updating the look and feel of the hospital, but are also updating equipment and internal processes.
We’ve made improvements to patient flow throughout the Emergency Department and are hiring even more physicians, ensuring shorter wait times and quicker access to a physician. Our staff provides you with prompt and efficient care so you can get back to doing the things you love. We aim to exceed our patients’ expectations by combining specialty knowledge and experience with a culture of continuous improvement.
